Greetings Admirals, Officers, Allies, Friends, and Enemies of the United Federation of Planets,
Welcome to 2011. I'm proud and honored to be your Fleet Admiral and have the opportunity to address you at the start of this new year. As we peer back at 2010 and review, we can see a community of change and restructure. 2010 brought us a first time ever Star Trek MMORPG; and with it a new style of Star Trek clanning.
Clearly UFP is on the verge of massive change, as it always is this time of year. With the new year old officers retire, and with Christmas new officers come in. Now is the time to take advantage of this opportunity to grow as a fleet and to set our goals for the year.
As many of you know, UFP has recently disbanded nearly all of our departments. This is a chance for officers to reflect on what UFP means to them. Officers who no longer enjoy gaming in Bridge Commander, Armada, Elite Force, Starfleet Command, and Star Trek Online may want to consider their roll in this fleet. We are a gaming fleet, and a gaming fleet of a dying breed no less.
It's time to recommit ourselves to what makes this fleet great. A New Years resolution of sorts. Gaming, recruiting, friendships, and fun need to be at the forefront of everyone's minds this year. In addition, UFP stands for integrity and respect and it is for that reason that UFP now stands at Yellow Alert
All UFP officers are to report in immediately to their commander's. Admiral Costello, Admiral Church and Commodore Carbonizer are to prepare our forces immediately for battle. Specific battle orders will be released soon. Our allies will not be called upon to join us, we will fight this one alone.
Finally, UFP will be holding a fleetwide meeting on Saturday January 8th at 1200 CST. All officers, cadets, crewman, and retired officers are invited to attend.
