UFDF-UFP Merger Announced!
Greetings Federation Officers,
Beginning sometime in the next week, the United Federation of Planets and United Federation Defense Force will merge. UFDF will merge under the UFP flag. As per our agreement, the Admiral's Council and Fleet Admiral remain as they currently are within UFP. Both fleets have already passed a 100% approval of this merger.
This merger should usher in a new era for UFP. It should increase our STO numbers aswell as to increase our STF and PvP capability. In addition, we'll be receiving a number of STO players in our STO fleet as well. We'll also be seeing the return of Naruto to our ranks, a former UFP member with invaluable talent and leadership skills.
Fleet Admiral Naruto will become Division Rear Admiral Naruto and will lead a squadron under First Fleet. For the first several months, this as of yet unnamed squadron will receive a bit of leeway while it's officers merge their culture and experience into ours. I expect every officers to make extra effort to make these officers feel welcome to our fleet.
To thank for this merger, we have our own Commodore Kelbie and Fleet Captain Shroombuck. While these two have been racking up war kills, they've also been communicating with UFDF to seal the deal.
For these reasons, Kelbie has been selected as the January Officer of the Month and is hereby presented the Fleet Admiral Star.
For Captain Shroombuck's work, here is hereby promoted to the rank of Commodore.
Thank you again gentlemen for your hard work. Again, UFP officers, please make the UFDF officers feel welcome as they enter our ranks.

Public Message to IOC
Greetings Victorious Officers and Enemies of the State.
I write this post to you with much regret, for while I educate you I am unable to enjoy some of the finer things in life.
First of all, please take note that I have not read all of what IOC officers have posted on our blessed forums, I nonetheless have gathered a pretty clear idea from the few I have read. I find it immensely entertaining that IOC officers would have the audacity to come here to spread their propaganda, if at least it were quality written propaganda we could perhaps consider them as "almost" an equal, under normal circumstances [UFP] would not even consider IOC as a organization worth dealing with, you lack the necessary credentials to have any kind of relations with us, war included. Your lack of intellectual abilities is troubling at best. Myself and many other officers of this fine fleet have been part of the community since long before Bridge Commander. We have noticed over the years, with little interest, the rise and fall of dozens of fleets such as yours.
You try to intimidate us by spreading the false idea that you are the source of so many clans dying, you claim to have destroyed several fleets yet in Bridge Commander fleets have always come and gone due to several factors that are beyond your abilities to comprehend. Suffice to say that you cannot destroy an organization simply by beating them at a game. This fleet remains undefeated in all of our wars, this claim is based on proof for we provide sceenshots of every victory and report any loses. Must I remind you that the last time we encountered you we won the war with an outstanding Kill:Death ratio. Your claims on this forums seems to be as funny as your skills in game.
The United Federation of Planets has a glorious history of professionally fought wars in multiple Star Trek games. Many of us were kicking ass in the golden age of Star Trek gaming while you were probably still trying to figure out how to use a computer. The biggest challenge for this blessed fleet is not to defeat you in game, but it is rather having to degrade ourselves to having dealings with you, an unworthy but highly entertaining opponent.
UFP is present on the BC servers, willing and able to destroy you once more to celebrate the new year. We would ask you to try to behave yourselves in order to make this war about competition and not who can misspell the most words but I suspect you are unwilling to "play fair and mature".
Were you to find yourselves courageous enough to fight us in other Star Trek games such as Elite Force, Armada or Starfleet Command 3 you will find that our standard of excellence is even higher in those games.
IOC, you have yet to earn our respect and there is only one way you can accomplish that: by fighting hard, fighting fair and dying well. Your whining and bullshit is unnecessary and will not accomplish anything against a fleet of UFP's stature.

Declaration of War
Greetings UFP Admirals, Officers, Retired Officers, Allies, Friends, and Enemies of the State,
Per the Mutual Protection Pact between Starfleet [SF] and the United Federation of Planets [UFP], ratified on September 12, 2008 by Rear Admiral JPorter and Admiral Picard, section 1 paragraph 2, Starfleet has requested the cooperation and mutual defense of Starfleet space against the Imperial Order Clan for violating community trust by 1) attempting to infiltrate and spy on Starfleet, 2) attempting to dominate the community by aggressive and unwarranted abusive tactics, 3) harassing the community and Starfleet's members.
The Council of Admirals has closely been observing this alarmingly increasing rate of provocation and harassment to our allies from an all too familiar plague. In light of this, the United Federation of Planets hereby moves to Red Alert and declares war on the Imperial Order Clan (I.O.C). Pieced together by remnants of the Devil Dogs, the I.O.C represents a scourge across the ailing Star Trek gaming community. In the last conflict against these aggressors, the United Federation of Planets was gloriously triumphant outmatching our opponents with a 4:1 ratio in kills versus losses.
Once again the United Federation of Planets will prove itself as the preeminent pure Star Trek gaming clan, as the call of battle marshals this noble fleet, we stand ready to assist Starfleet and our allies in eradicating the infestation that is I.O.C. once and for all. All [UFP] officers are ordered to engage on sight, leave no survivors. Our allies are more than welcome to participate in the blood-bath to follow.
It is hereby announced that the United Federation of Planets is at war commencing Saturday January 15th, 2011 1149 hrs CST. All [UFP] ships are to stand at RED ALERT and engage on sight. No quarter is to be granted.

New Year & Yellow Alert
Greetings Admirals, Officers, Allies, Friends, and Enemies of the United Federation of Planets,
Welcome to 2011. I'm proud and honored to be your Fleet Admiral and have the opportunity to address you at the start of this new year. As we peer back at 2010 and review, we can see a community of change and restructure. 2010 brought us a first time ever Star Trek MMORPG; and with it a new style of Star Trek clanning.
Clearly UFP is on the verge of massive change, as it always is this time of year. With the new year old officers retire, and with Christmas new officers come in. Now is the time to take advantage of this opportunity to grow as a fleet and to set our goals for the year.
As many of you know, UFP has recently disbanded nearly all of our departments. This is a chance for officers to reflect on what UFP means to them. Officers who no longer enjoy gaming in Bridge Commander, Armada, Elite Force, Starfleet Command, and Star Trek Online may want to consider their roll in this fleet. We are a gaming fleet, and a gaming fleet of a dying breed no less.
It's time to recommit ourselves to what makes this fleet great. A New Years resolution of sorts. Gaming, recruiting, friendships, and fun need to be at the forefront of everyone's minds this year. In addition, UFP stands for integrity and respect and it is for that reason that UFP now stands at Yellow Alert
All UFP officers are to report in immediately to their commander's. Admiral Costello, Admiral Church and Commodore Carbonizer are to prepare our forces immediately for battle. Specific battle orders will be released soon. Our allies will not be called upon to join us, we will fight this one alone.
Finally, UFP will be holding a fleetwide meeting on Saturday January 8th at 1200 CST. All officers, cadets, crewman, and retired officers are invited to attend.

State of address from Fleet Admiral TParis
Greetings Officers, Allies, Friends, and Enemies of the United Federation of Planets.
As many of you know, Fleet Admiral Exeter has decided to retire. His career was a long, glorious, but most importantly, a unique one. Fleet Admiral Exeter entered the fleet May 9, 2006 as a cadet in the newly created Starfleet Academy. At the time, the Academy was highly experimental and was given much leeway to develop a working platform to combat a very real problem within the fleet. Our cadets simply did not understand our system and were not progressing. Fleet Admiral Picard and I discussed the matter in early 2006 and we picked whom we thought was the best candidate to stand up such a venture: Rogue_Trooper.
Rogue_Trooper spent several months developing a strategy for not only teaching cadets the words of our legislation, but testing their understanding of the concepts and purpose. He further developed a systematic method for tracking and managing our cadets. At the time, the concept of a UFP Cadet spending the time and having the understanding to progress up to the Starfleet Admiralty or even the Admiral's Council was unheard of. Now imagine last February when former Cadet Exeter becomes Fleet Admiral Exeter. Fleet Admiral Exeter is the epitome of hard work and determination as well as proof and result of the real power and effectiveness of the Academy. His career has proven that this fleet is truly a military democracy with opportunity for everyone and that every cadet has the chance to be the Fleet Admiral someday. No one else holds that prestige in this fleet.
I ask the fleet to join me in congratulating and offering a "job well done" to Fleet Admiral Exeter and wishing him the best in retirement. His flag ship will always be welcome to fly alongside us. Thank you for your tireless contributions to this fleet.
My appointment to Fleet Admiral has come after much regret. The Council of Admiral deliberated over the appointment either Admiral Alexraptor or myself. I know Admiral Alexraptor has given tremendous time and effort to the fleet and would have made an outstanding Fleet Admiral. I can say without the need of any humility that he is much more dedicated to the fleet than even I am. I know that he has and always will have the fleet's best interest in mind and I want to let him and the fleet know that he was a worthy candidate for the position.
As it goes though, I have been given the opportunity by the Council of Admiral's to lead this fleet into the next year. I recognize this is a privilege but not a right. The rank requires a great deal of responsibility and my duty is to serve the fleet. I've considered what that responsibility is and what I want my mark on this fleet to be. My job is to ensure this fleet meets the goals outlined in our constitution and highlights the very best we have to offer. We are a gaming clan, but most importantly, we are a Star Trek gaming fleet. Our objectives are the advancement of the Star Trek gaming ethos, enjoyment of online gaming, to cooperate with all bodies of similar aims, and to unit the Star Trek community as much as possible.Full story
