Happy New Year.
Greetings everyone.
I'm particularly happy to be once again given the opportunity to address you and wish to you all a happy new year. On behalf of the Admiral's Council we wish you all the best in 2010.
Last year has been a challenging year for UFP. We have had our ups and down but more importantly we kept the course and remained united in our goal to keep the Star Trek Gaming Community alive. It has not been easy for UFP, we are the competitive type and the community being what it is we have found ourselves forced to re-invent ourselves several times over the year in order to maintain our officers interested in these ever older games.
UFP has taken many turns since it's foundation, sometimes good sometimes bad but we have always remained true to our principles. Our original mission being to make sure this community makes it to STO we have thrived in every aspect possible over the years. But [UFP] is out of breath we've given everything we've got, and it will now be time to capitalize. We have accomplished our mission. There is no doubt that UFP will make it to the release of STO due in February and we managed to accomplish that while being true to ourselves and what we believe in. We have undergone several structure changes lately and more will come. UFP is about to re-invent itself once more for the release of STO with the preparations being in it's final stages. And the first step of this will be a complete overhaul of the web site design / interface system and eventually forums aswell. You can expect the changes to begin taking effect in the first week of January.
This fleet, it's leaders and sometimes it's members have always been criticized. Countless times UFP was underestimated and everytime this has just strengthen our resolve to re-conquer the top and we have never failed at our task because we have never failed each other. I ask you all to continue your good work this fleet is full of resourceful people that will make UFP a major player in STO and in the renewed star trek community that is to come. 2010 will certainly be a much more exiting year than 2009 was.
To conclude I wish to reiterate my best wishes for all of you and your families for the next year to come. Our efforts today will shape the future of this fleet and will have consequences that will echo long after we have all left UFP so lets give it all we've got. Be proud of what you've accomplished and the history of this fleet.
Thank you, Happy New Year to you all.
