Transphasics i think are more of a PvP weapon aimed at people who are shield tanking, since a percentage of the damage they do is supposed to bleed through the shields.

What happened to Transphasic torpedoes blowing up a Borg cube in a single shot? I thought it was quite clear from Voyager that Transphasic torpedoes were far more powerful than quantums.

Well it was the most lame voyager episode in history.
Plus that the technology was from the future and far more advanced than anything the borg had in the past.
