Well, I will be in for sure! So, if there is going to be a group of officers set up to aid with the game, I'll be more than happy to volunteer once I'm out of the Academy!
I am a huge fan of Cryptic and City of Heroes/Champions Online, and I am very much looking forward to STO.

I'll be there.
One thing i've noticed is that among the community there seems to be a negative view that basically makes the assumption that because its a Champions Online expansion, its going to suck.
It may very well be that but imho, id rather play that than nothing.
PvP anyone?

I'll be along!
The problem with the view that alot of people are taking is that whilst CO had some amazing content, it focused way too much on its character customisation as a selling point (Yea its absolutely amazing!!) but mashing the same three keys in sequence is a bit pants.
I'm sorry but STO cannot be the same as that - CO was a case of jump in a mob and hit buttons till it or you are dead. STO is more like a game of checkers (Going American there!) - I refrain from saying chess as I've not played the game and I'm not sure how important the tactics you use actually are. I'm hoping this is going to be a SFC3 style of tacticsin an MMO setting.
Meh as said above, even if it does suck eggs, the amount of poor games in the franchise will mean this will still get alot of attention from Trekkies for a long time

Starship names were announced: http://www.startrekonline.com/node/832
None of mine made it. Those names suck.

I have to agree. Those ship class names suck.
